Light's Path Awaits #WWUC @NWCreativeUnion

We are
 unbalanced
scales
tipping in
 anger,
 lust,
opinion,
 faith---
seeking
 peace
 with
 snuffed
  candles.

On
 bended
knees
we pray
 for signs
and miss
 the
 obvious.
The path
 into light
has always
 been there.

Look to
the moon.
She sits in
 the night sky
Illuminating the
 spirit’s passage
to revelation.

Her sister stars turn
in a kaleidoscopic
 dance inviting
the seeker to
let go of inhibitions
that block understanding.

To be restored we must
discern what fractures our souls.
The light is there, constant, embracing.
Breathe in life and step into its glowing.

Love the visual of a candle your words create here, Susie. It amplifies the content manifold. Thanks for dropping by the new blog and help christen it! I'm posting there regularly now (new stuff when I have it, if not then the best of the old that I think could use a refresh)

Warmest

Excellently done Susie, and you have masterfully incorporated the several themes!

Thank you and kudos!

Imagery here is perfect in words and candlestick! I LOVE walking the dogs at night - tilting my chin towards the sparkling sky... if everyone would just breath the night sky in, we would be that much further to solving our world's problems.

Susie, this is incredibly beautiful. I especially love "the path into light has always been there." Yes. may we all "step into its glowing". Sigh. So beautiful.

This is lovely! Words and candle. I really enjoy shape poems especially when the words and shape of the poem add up to more than just the words alone. Well done!

Mostly lust....lol. Not being able to see whats right in front of us all the time is such a symptom of the unhappiness that seems to permeate alot of the world. I often ask my son "what did you see that was good today" trying to get him to think in that vein a little more. I need to do it as well. I have already seen something good today, and it is your poetry....loved it.

I like this. It is so true, the light is always there, we must be aware of it.

I love the first stanza--it really drew me into the poem. I like the image of "unbalanced scales." And yes, the light is always there even when we don't see it.
